DESCRIPTION - Tempo Vino is a winery located in Kalamazoo, MI that offers customers a variety of wine-based services, including wine-making and custom wine labels in addition to the traditional wine tasting and tours. The goal for this project was to create five custom wine labels, a design that would carry through to invitations and web pages, as well as a logo redesign. Inspired by optical art (art that uses optical illusions and follows an abstract style), the design is made up of spirographs which come in five colors, each linked to a specific type of wine. The logo itself also holds spirograph designs, with a thick sans-serif paired complimentary with a script font. The colors are linked to the color of the wine within, or in the case of the green chardonnay design, the color of the grapes they were made with. This places riesling with the yellow design, pinot grigio with the orange design, white zinfandel with the magenta design, and rosé with the light pink design. Working off of the designs of these bottles, invitations to a wine tasting party also hold the same spirograph designs and colors, with three different color schemes for the invitation design. The web page designs worked off of these same design elements, but rather than using the spirograph design for the main theme instead there is a pattern created using wine bottle silhouettes so as not to busy the page and allow for easy readability of the menu options and logo. The pages work with the same script font as the logo for titles and subtitles, with a sans-serif as the body text for easy readability. A bright and bubbly design, this theme shows off the fun and playful nature of this custom label design.
